Dear RNLI Lifeboat Enthusiast Members
A glimmer of positive news in these dark days, we have made provisional arrangements (C-19 permitting) for the re-scheduled Lifeboat Enthusiasts Annual Meeting at Chatham Historic Dockyard, in the hope that will have to returned to something resembling normality by then.
The date is Saturday October 24th 2020; the venue is the Edward Holl Room in the Smithery. That day is a Volunteer Working day, so Heritage Lifeboat Collection Volunteers will be in attendance, and the Crew Room will be open.
The AGM itself will be held at 14.00 – 14.30 and this will be followed by a speaker – TBC
In terms of nearby accommodation, there is Travelodge Chatham Maritime on the edge of the Dockyard complex. There is also a pub about 5 minutes away – the Ship & Trades – which has accommodation (although they did cancel our room with 2 days notice in 2017 with a supposed double booking so beware). Myriad other accommodation is available in the locale too.
We wish all our members well and hope you stay safe. Please feel free to contact us with any lifeboat related questions, we remain available to respond to your queries daily.
Best Wishes – all at RNLI Lifeboat Enthusiasts
